St Comgall’s Ionad Eillen Howell Event Space was created through a £7 million regeneration project completed in June 2022 where we transformed the Grade B1 listed building of St Comgalls, breathing new life into its historic walls.
This remarkable achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Falls Community Council and a West Belfast-based social enterprise.
But here’s the fascinating part: this project wasn’t just about renovating a building. It was about revitalizing an entire community. The goal was clear from the start – to foster economic, educational, social, and cultural benefits for the local area. By promoting good relations and encouraging job creation, employment, and investment, St Comgalls became more than just a venue – it became a beacon of hope and opportunity for the community it serves.
After 21 years in the making, St Comgalls Venue Space stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and community-driven initiatives.
